Game Review: Heroscape

My favorite game ever is Heroscape, aka the Battle of All Time. In Heroscape, you draft armies and factions from very diverse worlds and times. They even have a Marvel edition. In a single army you could have knights, aliens, and elves. This allows for someone to play in anyway you choose. The minis even come prepainted.

The main thing that pulls a lot of people into the game are the prepainted hexagon tiles. The tiles: 1)interlock. 2)stack. 3) come in different sizes (1 hex, 2 hex, 3 hex, 7 hex, and 24 hex).

To play the game is simple. You create armies based on a point total. Every unit has a point total. Each unit has 5 stats: life, move, range, attack, and defense. The game is split into rounds. At the beginning of a round, you place your Order Markers on your Army Cards. You and your opponent take turns one to another. Taking your 1, 2, and 3 turns. During a turn you can move and attack. You move as many spaces as your move. Your attack is equal to how many attack dice you roll. Generally, you go until all of your opponents units are destroyed.
